Applications are now open for the 2021/2022 GSoC Mentoring Program. Are you looking for ways to support Graduate Students of Color? Would you like the opportunity to provide mentorship to such students? Are you interested in becoming a mentee to a faculty member on campus outside of your regular academic relationships? The Cross Cultural Center (CCC) invites you to join us for one of our 2021/2022 Graduate Students of Color (GSoC) Mentorship Program. Graduate Students of Color & Faculty from across all disciplines are welcome to attend any info session or apply directly at the links below. The GSoC Mentoring Program holistically supports its graduate student participants as they navigate the rigors of graduate school. Applications close at the end of day Tuesday, December 7, 2021. Become a Summer 2021 Mentoring Fellow with the EDGE program!
The EDGE (Expanding Diversity and Gender Equity) in STEM Mentoring Fellowship is designed to give historically underrepresented graduate students training and experience in how to become an excellent mentor to undergraduate students who identify as under-represented in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields. The summer program will be conducted remotely from June 14th to August 20th using online platforms including Zoom and the epixego.com mentoring web app. Program participation includes: Training in how to maintain healthy mentor relationships and be an effective mentor and mentee Mentoring undergraduate students who share the same interests, skills and experiences Learning how to foster valuable mentoring relationships centered on shared values A 20-hour commitment over summer 2021 A $925 fellowship award To apply, please visit this website: https://citris.ucmerced.edu/mentor |
